SPC (Statistical Process Control) on outputs directly reflects the final product quality and customer requirements. Monitoring outputs helps detect variation that affects performance, while input control alone may miss downstream issues. However, input SPC is also useful for preventive control—especially in critical processes. But for practical implementation and audit focus, output SPC is preferred.
