Seems to me this is more likely a port security issue? Why would trunk ports have been configured for workstations previously? Usually those are access ports…

They are previously used workspaces, they would be on the same native VLAN as the users who are moving. Since the users are moving their devices, its most likely that the ports are being disabled due to port security.

Selected Answer: B
The key clue is: Users were moved to previously used workspaces. Now, all of them have connectivity issues. This suggests the switch ports they’re plugged into are still configured for the wrong VLAN (from the old users or devices). If the VLANs don’t match the users’ current subnet, they won’t be able to connect properly.

Selected Answer: A
The ports were previously in use, and if port security was configured to restrict access based on the MAC addresses of the original users’ devices, then connecting new devices with different MAC addresses would violate the security policy. As a result, the switch would trigger a violation and could place the ports into an err-disabled state, making them unusable for the new users. Therefore, the most likely answer is A.

Trunk ports allow for multiple vlan connections? not sure why that would be an issue compared to Ports have an incorrect native vlan.

Selected Answer: B
When users are moved to previously used workspaces, the switch ports they connect to may still be configured for a different VLAN than the one their devices are currently assigned to. If the VLANs don’t match, the devices won’t be able to communicate properly on the network, resulting in connectivity issues
