A is False: A physical interface on an SRX device cannot be configured as both a Layer 2 (family ethernet-switching) and a Layer 3 (family inet or others) interface at the same time. A single physical interface must be dedicated to one family or the other. B is False: The SRX device must be rebooted after changing the device's mode to mixed-mode using the set security forwarding-options family mpls mode mixed-mode or set chassis fpc 0 pic 0 tunnel-services bandwidth 1g (or similar for higher models) and committing the configuration. Simply configuring one Layer 2 and one Layer 3 interface after the device is already in mixed mode does not require a reboot.
