Agree that answer should be B, as the controller backplane diagram also stated that the SAS will be on mezzanine or PCIe slot 1, as slot 0 and slot 2 will be use as FC port

For a FlashArray//XR2 or //XR3 array, a PCIe SAS card needs to be installed in the mezzanine slot or PCIe slot 1, as shown in the FlashArray XR2 Quick Installation Guide page 4
